Maternity photography is among my favorite sessions to photograph. When a client schedules a maternity session, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents-to-be. Serene Maternity Photography – CT Maternity Photographer

Jennifer and Damien traveled all the way from Gaithersburg Maryland for their maternity photos. Like most expecting moms-to-be do, they turn to the internet to find a photographer to capture their pregnancy and document these joyful moments with professional maternity photos. Jennifer not only found me on google searching, but she also came across my business on yelp. Although, they don’t live in Connecticut, that didn’t stop them from booking their maternity session with Melissa Hartigan Photography. I cannot say ‘thank you’ enough for all of my amazing clients that travel however near, or far, to me to not only capture their maternity photos, but also their newborn photos of their precious new baby.

Maternity Photography Maryland

They day before their maternity session, Jennifer and Damien drove to Connecticut and we met at my studio in Coventry, so that Jennifer could try on some maternity dresses ahead of time to see what styles she liked, and what she would want to be photographed in for her pregnancy pictures. The maternity gown wardrobe is carefully curated with beautiful gowns to fit the couture and boutique style of maternity photography. Clients always love having a beautiful selection of dresses and gowns to choose from to use for their pregnancy photos, and I am always happy to include these as part of scheduling your maternity session with Melissa Hartigan Photography.

Maternity Photography in Connecticut

The day of the session the weather was so beautiful, but a couple hours before we were set to meet up and start photographing the weather turned out of nowhere into a crazy rainstorm was pouring down. We waited it out for a while, and kept looking for a break in the weather so that we could get the chance to do their maternity session. Pretty quickly we saw that there would be a small window in the break in the weather where it would be nice enough – so we went for it, and just like that the rain stopped for us. With the rain stopping for a short while, and the light coming through the clouds in those few moments of stillness was something so calm and peaceful. Jennifer, without a doubt, looked so beautifully serene in those moments, and I captured the very essence that she is as a new mother.  We had some light drops of rain begin to come down a short time later, but we continued on with the session and I captured the best moments of Jennifer and Damien into their journey of becoming parents.
