Newborn Session Information Questions:
I’m expecting a baby in a few months, when should I schedule my session?
The best time to schedule your newborn session is when you are still pregnant. It is never to soon to reserve your due date on my calendar. I only schedule a certain number of newborns per month, therefore securing your due date on my calendar a head of time is advised insuring an opening when your baby arrives.
How soon after I deliver should we contact you?
Please add me to your “Who to contact when the baby is born list” and once the baby arrives please contact me within three days so that we can select a day and time that works best for you.
How soon after our baby is born should our newborn be photographed?
The best time to photograph your newborn is within the first 6-14 days of life. I like this time frame because you as a family have had time to bond and get into a bit of a routine. Also newborns are still quite sleepy, cuddly and bendy. .
I love your style, do you provide all of the props?
YES! I provide all props, my studio is overflowing with them. I do however like to keep props to a minimum so the focus remains on the baby.
Is the session just about baby or can family member be incorporated?
While I try to keep the session focused on the baby, I love to incorporate immediate family members (mom, dad, siblings) into a shot or two if that is something you would like.
I missed the age time frame for a newborn session, do you photograph older babies?
Its never to late to capture your sweet little one. Please contact me and we will schedule a session, I love capturing milestones (3, 6, 9 and 12 months). Contact me for more information on these sessions, I would love to capture these milestones for you.
After our session how long do you keep my images on file?
Ordered images will remain on file for one year from the date of the portrait session. Unordered images will be archived for 6 months and then permanently deleted.
