As a Coventry CT Baby Photographer, I have the pleasure of meeting families with new babies every day. Not only do I love being a newborn photographer, but I also love photographing babies of all ages and capturing all the baby milestones from pushing up, sitting up, standing up through to their first birthday. As quick as the newborn stage passes so do all the different stages of the baby milestones, and it’s so important not to miss capturing those major milestones and details either. Here is a peek into Piper’s sitting up baby milestone session in the studio.
Piper’s Baby Blanket Made with Love – Coventry CT Baby Photographer
This sweet baby girl Piper was such a gem for her sitting up baby milestone session. Not only did I photograph her newborn session but I also photographed her fresh48 hospital session when she was just three hours old. I’m always so amazed to see just how much my newborn clients have grown since they were freshly born and I took their first professional baby pictures.
I always focus on capturing the sitting up milestone and all those fun little details that go along with the newfound skill of sitting up. Piper had no shortage of smiles for me, and I caught her smile in nearly every single photo that I took.
Her big brother Trip loved to be in front of the camera with her, and you could just tell how much these two love each other. I captured a photo with the four of them together as a beautiful family, and we focused the remaining time capturing Piper’s sitting milestone and the little girly details.
Piper’s mom and dad, Amy and David, brought in a beautiful handmade baby blanket that was specially made with love for Piper by a family member. She looked darling sitting on the special baby blanket giving her adorable baby smile.

As a baby milestone photographer in Connecticut, I am always adding beautiful new knitted and handmade props to my studio baby prop collection. Melissa Hartigan Photography clients always have access to these props for their newborn as well as baby milestone sessions. You don’t need to worry about bringing anything for your session except yourselves and your happy baby ready to have their photograph taken.
Props are always pre-selected based off the color choices that you choose prior to your session. Custom set-ups are then designed around your color choices. Everything is always prepared and ready to begin once you arrive for your baby milestone session.
