Hi there! Thanks so much for visiting Melissa Hartigan Photography – Connecticut Newborn Photographer.  Grab a cup of coffee, get cozy wherever you’re seated and enjoy browsing around my blog for a while. For those that are here visiting for the first time, I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby milestone and family photography for all of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I photograph maternity, family and senior portrait sessions at scenic locations around the state, and have a beautiful studio located in Coventry, CT where I also photograph maternity sessions, and all my studio newborn and baby milestone sessions.  I absolutely love doing newborn photography, and it’s a true honor to be a part of these special moments in people’s lives as they welcome their new baby into the world. Here is a little peek into my newborn session with baby girl Olivia!

Welcome Baby Girl Olivia – Connecticut Newborn Photographer

Ashley and Brian are no strangers to Melissa Hartigan Photography as I had the honor of photographing their second baby boy’s newborn session, as well as their maternity session when Ashley was pregnant with their second child. Now they have welcomed a sweet baby girl into their family of two young boys making them a new and blessed family of five. Their darling baby girl fits perfectly into their family!

We captured Olivia’s newborn photos with the Treasured Newborn Session. Olivia was the sweetest during her newborn session. She was a very calm baby and slept much of the session and I was able to pose her and photograph several different set ups for her parents to remember their newest little love by. She is just a darling little baby!

As a family they enjoy going to the beach, going on hikes or have family game and movie nights. Big brothers Jackson and Andrew are really into building forts, using their creative sides to their fullest and playing with Lego. Jackson loves to read and is into mystery books. Andrew is into super heroes with the avengers and superman being his favorites. Olivia sure is lucky to have such awesome big brother’s to play and grow up with.

Purple Teal Beige Newborn Photos for Baby Girl

Ashley requested purple, teal and beige for her darling baby girls’ newborn photos. I think purple and teal might just be Olivia’s color because she looked so beautiful in those soft purple and teal colors and tones. As a newborn photographer in Connecticut, I love offering clients a large variety of color choices for their newborn sessions. Each newborn session is hand selected and designed around a cohesive color palate based off the colors you choose for your session. Having the option to choose the colors that will complement the colors chosen for your baby’s nursery, the colors in your homes, and the colors you love best is a just one piece of the whole newborn photography process that new parents absolutely love to be a part of; and I am so happy to offer that to all of my clients.

Studio Newborn Photographer – CT Newborn Photographer with Props

As a studio newborn photographer in Connecticut, I am always adding beautiful new knitted and handmade props to my newborn prop collection.  Melissa Hartigan Photography clients always have access to these props for their newborn as well as baby milestone sessions. You don’t need to worry about bringing anything for your session except yourselves and your newborn baby ready to have their photograph taken. Props are always pre-selected based off the color choices that you choose prior to your session. Custom set-ups are then designed around your color choices. Everything in the studio is always prepared and ready to begin once you arrive for your newborn session.
