Hi there! Thank-you for visiting Melissa Hartigan Photography and viewing my recent blog post. For those who are new to my blog, I’m a CT Baby & Family Photographer with a studio in Coventry, CT. I love to capture special events in people’s lives and give them beautiful photographs they can cherish forever of their new baby and family. I am so happy to be a part of these memorable moments for this family and truly hope you enjoy this recent post. Here is a little peek into Olivia’s Newborn session.

Olivia’s mom and Dad, Lauren and Aaron, are the type of couple who love to travel the world, cook together, explore the mountains and go hiking and overall enjoy the outdoors. Both mom and dad will be able to introduce their daughter to all the beautiful things in the world and everything that they love together.

Beautiful flowers for a beautiful baby girl

I always love when parents bring in special items to have photographed with their new baby. When Olivia’s mom brought in this beautiful floral wrap and headband, it was no surprise that I was in photographer’s heaven with how pretty it was, and even more thrilled that it matched the setups that I had selected and designed from mom’s color choices.

Rich Purples and Creams are a perfect match

With the beautiful floral wrap and headband set that mom brought in, along with the purple and cream color choices that mom had picked out for Olivia’s newborn session, it was an absolute perfect match when it all came together. I couldn’t get enough of those rich purple and cream tones for Olivia’s newborn photos.

Baby’s First Photographer | CT Baby & Family Photography

As a new family of three, I am overjoyed that I was their baby’s first photographer and was able to capture their first professional family photo. Newborn photography isn’t just about capturing those sweet newborn photos, but also documenting those first moments as a new family with professional family photos. As a mom with five of my own children, I know how important it is to have family photos of you and your children together.

As a newborn photographer in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts, I am always buying and adding new and beautiful knitted-handmade props to my newborn and baby prop collection. Melissa Hartigan Photography clients always have access to these props for their newborn and baby milestone sessions. Props are always pre-selected based off the color choices that you choose prior to your session, and set-ups are then designed around your color choices. Everything is always prepared and ready to begin once your arrive for your newborn and baby milestone sessions. I am always happy to pre-select client desired props from my prop collection to include in your session setups.
