For those who are new to my blog, I’m a CT Photographer specializing in newborn and maternity photography. I am so happy to be a part of these families’ special time and truly hope you enjoy this recent post. Here is a little peek into a recent session where I was the Newborn Twin Photographer for little Finley and Harper from Enfield, CT.

Finley & Harper Newborn Session

Mom Amy was actually referred to Melissa Hartigan Photography by my mom.  It turns out that I am related to these adorable cuties; Amy’s mom and my mom are 2nd cousins, making Finley and Harper my 5th cousins. I was honored that they chose me to be their Newborn Twin Photographer to capture this special event in their life. We scheduled their Newborn Session at my studio in Coventry, CT.  Since I like to custom design every session, I like to talk or meet with my clients before their session. There we can discuss my client’s style preferences and vision for their photos.

I was so excited to photograph Amy’s beautiful twins. I have a sweet spot for twins, as I have boy and girl twins myself. Finley and Harper were so cute and you could see that they already had a special bond. I loved photographing them together, especially in the little, wooden crate.  Their big brother Owen joined in on the fun too. He was a little nervous and unsure at first, but once he became comfortable he was adorable posing with his new brother and sister. I absolutely love being a Newborn Twin photographer, and love that families choose me to capture these special moments in their lives.

Mom choose Pink and Blue and Cream.

Finley and Harper’s mom choose the colors pink, blue and cream for their Newborn Session. Each twin looked dreamy with their respective blue and pink, but I loved posing them together in the cream colors. The pink and blue knit wraps and hats were adorable on them. The props I hand selected worked perfectly for them, and the antique wooden crates were especially cute to capture the two sleeping darlings. Also throughout the session I used several headbands, little outfits and wraps.

Melissa Hartigan Photography has an extensive prop collection and a beautiful couture newborn wardrobe. Parents don’t need to worry about props or setups for their baby. I have it all covered. Clients just need to tell me the colors they would like to see used and from there I custom style their newborn session. Check out my Newborn Gallery for some posing and color ideas.
