For those who are new to my blog, I’m a Connecticut Photographer specializing in newborn and maternity photography. I am so happy to be a part of these families’ special time and truly hope you enjoy this recent post. Here is a sneak peek into a recent Fresh 48 Newborn Session with Miss Piper.

Piper Fresh 48 Newborn Session

I met Mom Amy, Dad and Big Brother when we did a family session the summer prior.  When Amy found out she was pregnant again, she decided she wanted to do a Fresh 48 Newborn Session with her newest arrival. I was honored they chose Melissa Hartigan Photography to be their photographer to capture this special moment in their lives.

Fresh 48 Newborn Session

Fresh 48 Newborn Sessions are for those families who want the first few hours of their newborn’s life captured without having the entire labor or birth documented. Held within the first 24-48 hours of your baby’s life, these lifestyle based sessions are perfect for remembering that first day forever.  I will come to your place of birth within 48 hours.  This is not a traditional newborn session; I will not pose the baby or bring props or lights. This will just be me capturing your baby’s sweet new moments in a fresh natural way!

Fresh 48 Newborn Sessions are special because there are very few things more important and emotional in life than having a baby.  For a lot of moms and parents the first couple of hours and days after delivery can be a blur. I want you to remember how beautiful the two of you looked as brand new parents. I want you to remember how it felt to look at your brand new baby and how fresh and new they looked just coming into the world.  Check out my Pinterest Page to see some of the beautiful moments I have captured. There is honestly nothing like it. Fresh 48 Newborn Sessions should be scheduled as soon as you know you would like want one. I suggest 4-6 months prior to your due date to ensure availability. I typically only accept 1-2 sessions per month due to the unknown, as babies come when they are good and ready.

Arrival Day

Amy called when she was on her way to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. She called again later to let me know what room she was in.  When I arrived, their little bundle of joy was less than 3 hours old.  They decided to keep the sex of their baby a surprise and were thrilled it was a little girl. Her name was actually undecided for a day or so, but I think that Piper fits her perfectly.  I was able to captured family snuggles with baby Piper and her first bath. Unfortunately, her Big Brother wasn’t able to come into the hospital because he wasn’t feeling well.  Nonetheless, the family was so full of love and joy that day getting to meet their little girl. I was so happy that I got to be a part of this very special day in their lives.
