Hello! Thank-you for visiting Melissa Hartigan Photography and viewing my most recent blog post. For those who are new to my blog, I’m a CT Photographer specializing in newborn and maternity photography. I am so happy to be a part of these families special time and truly hope you enjoy this recent post. Here is a little peek into a recent Newborn Session with Miss Claire from Mystic, CT.

Claire Newborn Session

Susan contacted Melissa Hartigan Photography in October to do Maternity and Newborn Sessions after seeing her friend’s session I did in September.  I was honored that Claire’s parents chose me to be their CT Photographer to capture these events in their lives. We decided to do a beautiful outdoor Maternity Session in November, and scheduled her Newborn Session at my studio in Coventry, CT in December.  Since I like to custom design every session, I like to talk or meet before the session. There we can discuss my client’s style preferences and vision for their photos.

The family decided to have the baby’s sex be surprise. It was a joy to learn that they had a baby girl. Claire was so cute with all her gorgeous dark hair. We had to stop a few times to give her some feedings, but I always allot time to tend to the needs of my littlest clients. I was able to capture some beautiful photos as I posed her in different set-ups. Big brother Ethan was so excited to do sibling shots with his baby sister. Just look at the huge smile on this face when he posed with her. I absolutely love being a CT photographer, and love that families choose me repeatedly to capture these special moments in their lives.

Mom choose Pink and Gray.

Miss Claire’s mom choose the colors pink and gray for her Newborn Session. Those colors looked so beautiful against her glowing skin tone. The props I hand selected worked perfectly for her, and wooden bucket was especially cute to capture the sleeping angel. Also throughout the session I used several headbands, little outfits and wraps.

Melissa Hartigan Photography has an extensive prop collection and a beautiful couture newborn wardrobe. Parents don’t need to worry about props or setups for their baby. I have it all covered. Clients just need to tell me two colors they would like to see used and from there I custom style their newborn session. Check out my Newborn Gallery for some posing and color ideas. For Claire’s session, I used outfits, headbands and props from The Dainty Miss, Little Bean Creations, and Pooks and Lulu.
