Hello! Thank-you for visiting Melissa Hartigan Photography and viewing my most recent blog post. For those who are new to my blog, I’m a CT Newborn Photographer with a studio in Coventry, CT. I love to capture special events in people’s lives and give them beautiful photographs they can cherish forever. I am so happy to be a part of these families’ special time and truly hope you enjoy this recent post. Here is a little peek into my recent Emerson CT Newborn Session.

Emerson CT Newborn Session

Mom Michelle contacted Melissa Hartigan Photography for a Newborn Session.  I also did her Maternity Session, so I was excited to meet the little lady in her belly. I love when clients choose me repeatedly to be their photographer to capture these special moments in their lives. Since I like to custom design every session, I like to talk or meet with my clients before their session. We were unable to meet prior to the Newborn session, so I communicated with her over email and used her session form to let me know her preferences for the session.

Emerson was so little and had beautiful, perfect skin.  She did want to fall asleep for me, which can happen. I always take the time to ensure that they are comfortable and can have extra feedings from mom. My goal is always to capture beautiful images of your new baby.  When she was awake, I was able to get a few shots of those stunning, deep eyes. Eventually she dozed off and I was able to get her in some great poses and outfits. I love how peaceful she looked sleeping in the little, wooden bed.  I even got her in the froggy pose – just look at her precious cheeks. For other posing ideas, check out my Pinterest Page. 

I love to get photos posed with the parents or whole family. Dad Brian and Big Brother Asher joined in on a family photo with Emerson and Mom. What a beautiful family. I could tell there’s a lot of love between them by the way they smiled when together.  I absolutely love being a CT Newborn Photographer and love that families choose me to photograph these special moments.

Mom chose White, Cream and Soft Pink.

Michelle chose the colors White, Cream and Soft Pink for Emerson’s Newborn Session.  Emerson looked like a little angel.  I loved using all my different white headbands and wraps.  She also looked so cute in my white knit hat with ears.  In addition, the props I hand selected worked perfectly for her. She looked especially cute sleeping in the white, wire basket with the white knit hat.

Melissa Hartigan Photography has an extensive prop collection and a beautiful couture newborn wardrobe. Parents don’t need to worry about props or setups for their baby because I have it all covered. Clients just need to tell me the colors they would like to see used and from there I custom style their newborn session. Check out my Newborn Gallery for some posing and color ideas. For Emerson’s session, I used outfits, headbands, hats and props from No. 2 Willow Lane, Little Bean Creations, Roses and Ruffles,  Red Owl Photo Props and Pooks and Lulu.
