Maternity Sessions are a wonderful way to celebrate bringing a baby into the world! As a CT Maternity Photographer, they are among my favorite sessions to do. When a client schedules a maternity session, I am documenting their amazing journey into parenthood. Here’s a sneak peek into my Maternity Session with the beautiful Michelle.

Michelle Maternity Session

Michelle contacted me back in November to set up a time to meet at my studio to discuss her session.  Prior to the session, my expectant mamas will come in by appointment to look through and try on gowns from my maternity wardrobe. Melissa Hartigan Photography has a beautiful maternity wardrobe which is available for use to all expecting mamas. I encourage the use of at least one gown. There are so many colors and styles to choose from.  Gowns chosen will accentuate the pregnant body, showing off that gorgeous baby bump. Michelle looked stunning in the gowns she tried on and I love her final selections. We set her session date and time as well reserved her due date for her newborn session.

Award winning photos

The images I captured during my maternity sessions are images meant to be treasured and looked back on for many years to come.  I will work with you to make these photos memorable and stunning. During the session, I will help you pose, help with hand placement and so on, but then I let you be. This is when the true feelings emerge and I capture the best images.

Michelle was amazing to work with and her images came out breathtaking. She looked gorgeous and not to mention was absolutely glowing as she posed with her baby bump. Michelle chose gowns from Sew Trendy and Ana Brandt.  I love the gowns she chose, especially the pale pink dress as it looked beautiful on her. Her sweet smile as she cradled her belly showed the love she had for her little one growing in there.

I love to get the whole family in the photos for a Maternity session. Her husband and son joined in on the photos. You can see how excited he is to be a big brother and how much he loves his Mom. The three of them were a beautiful family and their newest addition will only add to it.  Overall, this little one is coming to a lot of love. I couldn’t wait to meet the little one at our future Newborn Session.

Not only was I  happy that she loved the photos but  also the final image below from this session was featured when I was named the BEST Maternity Photographer in the State of Connecticut by Bored Panda!
