Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy is a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world while waiting for your baby to arrive. Maternity photography is among my favorite sessions to photograph. When a client schedules a maternity and newborn session with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents-to-be. For Nicole and Kevin, this is a little glimpse into their beautiful journey into parenthood for the second time.

Expecting another sweet baby, Nicole and Kevin wanted to celebrate the arrival of their soon-to-be baby by capturing their pregnancy moments while they awaited the birth of their second baby. Wanting to capture a variety of stylized maternity images, Nicole booked the Heirloom Maternity Session and added on to the session and booked both in-studio with just her beautiful pregnant figure, and then we captured mom, dad and big sister Kiara together as a family outdoors. This is a beautiful option for mamas wanting to capture both session settings.
The evening of their maternity session was picture perfect for scenery and a beautiful family ready to have their pregnancy and growing family captured in the sweetest way. I love getting to know my clients at their maternity session because by the time their baby has been born, we’ve already become like new friends. Mama shared with me that she has an outgoing personality, often known as a ‘social butterfly’. She loves to dance and pamper herself with bubble baths and getting all dolled up. Kevin is always spending time with the family and when he isn’t in family mode, he keeps busy doing new projects at home. Kiara is very charismatic, smart and full of energy. They are so excited to have become parents again and Kiara to become a big sister. They are the sweetest family!
Browsing the boutique collection of maternity dresses and gowns in the studio closet, Nicole had selected a very beautiful gowns to wear for both in-studio and outside and she was simply stunning in them. As a Connecticut Maternity Photographer, I get the pleasure everyday of meeting expectant mamas, couples and families that will soon will be welcoming their new baby. Not only do I love being a maternity and newborn photographer, but I also love photographing babies of all ages and capturing all the baby milestones. As quick as the pregnancy and newborn stages pass, so does a baby’s first year and all the different stages. It is so important to document these pregnancy memories with professional pictures before these maternity moments are over and gone forever.
