Not only do I love being a newborn photographer, but I also love photographing babies of all ages and capturing all the baby milestones from pushing up, sitting up, standing up through to their first birthday. As quick as the newborn stage passes so do all the different stages of the baby milestones, and it’s so important not to miss capturing those major milestones and details either. Here is a peek into Hayden’s One year cake smash baby milestone session in the studio.

Mansfield CT Baby Photography – Hayden One Year Cake Smash

One year after capturing Hayden’s newborn pictures, Karyn and Peter brought sweet Hayden back in for her one-year cake smash milestone session as they didn’t want to miss capturing this milestone in Hayden’s first year of life. I love capturing milestone sessions after newborn sessions, because not only do I get to capture more baby memories for parents but I also get to see just how much my littlest clients have grown throughout the year since capturing their newborn pictures. It always amazes me seeing the sweet little babies I posed and photographed again.

When they arrived at the studio, sweet Hayden was ready for her close-ups. She was so funny with her personality and all of her expressions. She is a very happy baby and it showed in her session. We had so much fun capturing her one-year milestone session in the outfits and props. Once that was over and Hayden saw her cake, she was ready to dig in and taste her sweet treat and make a little mess along the way.

When it comes to studio outfits and setups, I am always adding beautiful new knitted and handmade props to my studio baby and child prop collection.  Melissa Hartigan Photography clients always have access to these props for their newborn sessions as well as baby milestone sessions. You don’t need to worry about bringing anything for your session except yourselves and your happy baby ready to have their picture taken. Props are always pre-selected based off the color choices that you choose prior to your session. Custom set-ups are then designed around your color choices. Everything is always prepared and ready to begin once you arrive for your baby milestone session.
