I photographed Jeffrey as a newborn and could hardly believe a year had gone by when his Aunt contacted me to purchase his family a milestone session for his birthday. His dad had also contacted me to set up a session so it was a little tricky for me because I didn’t want to ruin the surprise. I was relieved a few days later when dad emailed me back full of joy over the excitement of receiving the gift certificate for his session. On the day of the session when they arrived for his session I could not believe how grown he was, same adorable little features but now a sweet one year old. I am always so honored when my newborn clients choose to come back for me to capture the one year session, it is again such a special time and such an unbelievable honor for me. When we began Jeffrey was not quite sure what to think, it took a while for him to warm up, but once he did and his sweet personality emerged we had so much fun. We were able to capture so so so many expressions, looks and adorable of Jeffrey. As with most one year session, the littles ones are not exactly sure what was going on but a after a few minutes and they warm up all of the sweet silly smiles come out. Oh my goodness… he especially enjoyed his cake. When dad sat him down he knew exactly what to do and was all about eating and smashing into it. He ate that cake, he smashed that cake, he splatted the frosting everywhere. When we thought he was done we picked him up to clean him up and he got so mad, he wasn’t done!
