For those who are visiting for the first time, welcome. I’m a CT Maternity Newborn Photographer with a professional photography studio located in Coventry, CT. I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby milestone, children and family photography. Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy and newborn moments is such a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world. Maternity and Newborn photography is among my favorite of sessions to photograph. I love to capture special events in people’s lives and give them heirloom quality images they can cherish forever of their pregnancy, new baby and as a family. When a client schedules their maternity and newborn sessions with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents. I am so happy to be a part of these memorable maternity and newborn moments for this new family of three.  Here is a little peek into this sweet family’s maternity and newborn sessions.

Family of Three Maternity Newborn Photos – Maternity Newborn Photography CT

Brittney and Dave were overjoyed to be expecting their first baby together. Wanting to capture these very special and fleeting moments in their life, they found me and reserved their maternity session with the Timeless Maternity Session as well as their baby’s newborn session with the Sweet & Simple Newborn Session. When they received their final proofing gallery, they added on additional maternity images.

The maternity session before I capture their baby pictures is typically when I get to meet my clients and we get to know each other during our time together. Learning about the couple I’m photographing is helpful for when I meet them at the hospital for their Fresh 48 Session or they come to my studio for their Newborn Session, we feel like old friends by the time I’m capturing their newborn images. Brittney shared with me that they love to be outdoors together going for walks or hikes and playing with their dog Tyson outside. They love to travel and Hawaii is their favorite destination since they spent their honeymoon enjoying the Hawaiian Islands. As a couple they love to cook and tour vineyards and breweries, and they also enjoy hosting parties at cookouts.

As a Maternity Photographer in CT, I get the pleasure everyday of meeting expectant mamas, couples and families that will soon will be welcoming their newborn baby into their family. During Maternity sessions, clients are always welcome to browse the studio wardrobe and borrow anything from it which they wish to wear for their portraits. The studio wardrobe is carefully curated with beautiful maternity gowns Sew Trendy Accessories to fit the couture and boutique style of maternity photography. Mamas have always appreciated having a selection of dresses and gowns to choose from for use during their sessions, and I am always happy to include these as part of scheduling your maternity session with Melissa Hartigan Photography. For Brittney and Dave’s maternity session, Brittney borrowed a beautiful light blue form fitting gown to wear for their session.

Simple & Timeless Newborn Photography

Landon was so precious for his Sweet & Simple Newborn Session and he slept like a dream baby. Mom and Dad wanted to capture their baby boy with simple yet masculine colors. The blues and grays they selected for the setups really are the perfect color combinations for a sweet new baby boy. Landon looked so sweet and so peaceful sleeping in all the adorable setups. My favorite capture might very well be of Landon posed in the froggy pose with a little smirk on his face and his tongue sticking out. He has the sweetest of faces!

I am NOT the photographer that starts a stop watch at the beginning of your session, I am NOT the photographer that will ever rush, I am NOT the photographer that will give up when I know how important a certain capture is to a client.

When you are looking to book your newborn session, it is recommended to secure your newborn session preferably before baby arrives to ensure an opening for when your little one does make their appearance. Ideally, it is best to book when you are in your second trimester. When you book your newborn session, you may also consider adding on a maternity session to your newborn booking and we can capture beautiful serene maternity pictures to remember your pregnancy by.
