I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby milestone, children and family photography. Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy and baby memories is such a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world. Maternity and Newborn photography is among my favorite of sessions to photograph. I love to capture special events in people’s lives and give them heirloom quality images they can cherish forever of their pregnancy, new baby and as a family. When a client schedules their maternity and newborn sessions with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents and I am so happy to be a part of these memorable moments for this sweet family from Enfield, CT located in Hartford County. Studio Maternity & Newborn Pics – CT Maternity Baby Photography

Leah and William were growing their family and wanted to capture their maternity moments while they awaited the arrival of their baby girl. Booking the Timeless Maternity Session and the Simply Swaddled Newborn Session for these special moments as a new family of three. Originally planning to capture their maternity pictures outdoors, we peeked at the weather and saw the temperature in the single digits so we moved the photoshoot location to a studio maternity session instead. We captured some of the most stunning maternity images of this darling couple.

Getting to know my clients, before baby arrives is one of my favorite things during the process – besides taking the pictures, of course! During your maternity session, we chat, we have fun and capture your pregnancy moments while awaiting the arrival of your baby earth side. And by the time your baby is here and we’re capturing your newborn images, we’ve already become like new friends and have gotten to know each other a little bit. Mama shared with me a bit about themselves. William is a bit shy at first, but once he gest comfortable, he is very chatty and you see his sense of humor and funny side come out. He loves cars and working on them and is always tinkering in the garage on something. Leah is very outgoing and friendly, quite the opposite of William. She is very active and loves going to the gym and walking the dogs daily. They both love to snowboard in the wintertime. She loves to bake and William loves to eat all the things she bakes. Perfect combo!

As a Maternity Photographer in CT, I get the pleasure everyday of meeting expectant mamas, couples and families that will soon will be welcoming their new baby into their family. For Leah and William’s Timeless Maternity Session in studio, mama selected a long form fitted eggplant purple maternity gown to accentuate her beautiful baby bump and capture the moments where their baby girl was still warm and cozy inside her womb. Mama is beautiful in the purple maternity dress and all around stunning!

Newborn Photography Connecticut

When baby Hazel finally made her entrance into the world, mama and dad were welcomed back into the studio for their Simply Swaddled Newborn Session. Mom had asked for purples and creams to coordinate with the purple colors captured during their maternity session, since purple is mom’s favorite color too. Hazel looked too perfect in the lighter shades of purple selected for her newborn photoshoot setups.

As a newborn photographer in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island that is driven to provide a custom newborn portrait experience, I love offering clients a variety of color choices for their newborn sessions at my studio. When you book a session with Melissa Hartigan Photography, I give you MY ALL, before, during and long after your session has come and gone. I am NOT the photographer that starts a stop watch at the beginning of your session, I am NOT the photographer that will ever rush, I am NOT the photographer that will give up when I know how important a certain capture is to a client.

When you are looking to book your newborn session, it is recommended to secure your newborn session preferably before baby arrives to ensure an opening for when your little one does make their appearance. Ideally, it is best to book when you are in your second trimester. When you book your newborn session, you may also consider adding on a maternity session to your newborn booking and we can capture beautiful serene maternity pictures to remember your pregnancy by.
