I’m so glad you’re here to read my recent blog post of this beautiful extended family photography session and browse around my blog. I am a professional newborn photographer with a beautiful portrait studio in Coventry, CT dedicated to newborn photography, fine art maternity photography and baby milestone photography throughout all of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Not only do I absolutely love taking photos and capturing moments in time, but I also adore capturing families and being a part of these special moments in my client’s lives. Here is a peek into the Stearns Family Photography session captured in the beautiful outdoors in Connecticut.

Stearns Extended Family Photography Session – CT Family Photographer

As a newborn and family photographer, I love photographing expectant couples and their sweet, tiny brand-new babies. I also love photographing families and capturing all the growth and love between them. It’s always an honor when I not only get to capture special moments for a new mom and dad with their new baby, but when I get to photograph their entire extended family – that really is the highest honor as a memory capturer.

Meeting the entire Stearns family and photographing them was such a treat. I had the pleasure of capturing Melissa’s Rainbow baby girl’s newborn photos. That session was special to me because I created a special Rainbow Baby Setup out of thousands of buttons that my children helped me with. A few months after Georgia’s newborn session, I got to see my clients again for their extended family session and meet their family that lives close to them in Connecticut and their family that travelled all the way from Newark, California.

Getting to know my clients is important to me, just as much as it is important for my clients to get to know me as well. Laurel had so many wonderful and endearing things to share with me about her family and it really is heartwarming. I’ll let their family photos and her words tell their family’s story.

“We are a family of faith. God is a big part of our lives. My husband Keith is a very hard-working man. He is on the serious side, but he loves his family with his whole heart. He loves learning things from YouTube videos and when he isn’t watching them, he enjoys relaxing in front of the TV.”

“My son and his wife live in California and they love it there. My son wanted to live there since he was a teenager, so it is no surprise that he moved there. He is very light hearted and easy going, and definitely has the California vibe to him. He is a big history buff and teaches it in school. He met his wife while attending college out in California. His wife, Lynn is a wonderful addition to our family. She’s an answer to our prayers for our son. She loves snow, and always prays for it to snow when she’s here visiting during the winter (and it often does snow)! Sometimes when we have a lot of snow here in Connecticut we’ll call them in California and joke with them and tell her to stop praying for snow because we’ve had enough of it. They both love hiking and being outdoors in general. They are so good together.”

“My daughter Melissa is a sweet soul. She loves her family beyond measure, they are the focus of her life. She has a kind and sympathetic heart, and she is a wonderful mama to her children. Melissa’s husband, Walden is like a son to us. He is a very hard-working Daddy, working six days a week and sometimes more when he is on-call. He is another answer to prayers and we are most grateful. When they were dating, we drove through Dairy Queen one evening. Everyone gave me their order, but Walden kept saying that he didn’t want anything. When we were almost to the window to order, I asked him one last time. He said, “oh ok, I guess I’ll have a banana split”. We all had a good laugh and still tease to him to this day about how he went from wanting nothing, to giving in and ordering a banana split. They live down the street from us so we get a lot of family time with them and our grandchildren.”
