Hello! Thank-you for visiting Melissa Hartigan Photography. I am a Connecticut Newborn Photographer with a studio in Coventry. Not only do I absolutely love taking photos but also being a part of these special moments in people’s lives. My goal is to give my clients beautiful photographs they can cherish forever. I truly hope you enjoy this recent post. Here is a little peek into my recent Newborn Session with the beautiful Sloane.

Sloane Newborn Session

I had the joy of meeting Mom Melissa and Dad Steven last summer when Melissa Hartigan Photography did their maternity session.  We then scheduled me to be her Connecticut Newborn Photographer to photograph her little daughter when she arrived.  I was honored she again chose me to capture a special moment in her life. Since I custom design every session, I like to talk or meet the parents before the session. There we can discuss not only my client’s style preferences but visions they have for their photos.

Smiles for Days

Little Sloane is precious. I couldn’t get over all the the photos that I took of her smiling. She is such a happy baby and wanted to let everyone know by giving me the most sweet, little smiles. Could she be any cuter sleeping on my pink blanket with a gorgeous smile on her face. Definitely one of my favorite photos from the session and one I hope that family will cherish.

She slept really well for me, so I was able to pose her in several different set-ups. For posing ideas, check out my Pinterest Page. She looks so adorable sleeping in my white bowl while hugging a little dolly. The pink onesie and bow headband were the perfect outfit choices. Sloane was also precious sleeping in my wooden bucket with the fresh, pink roses and again that beautiful smile. She was such an adorable baby to photograph.

Family poses are always a favorite of mine. Older brother Logan came to the session, so I was excited to get some shots with him. I melted watching how he loving cradles his baby sister in his arms. She is lucky to have such a wonderful brother. Mom and Dad also posed with Sloane. They look like such a happy family, and I was so glad that I got to be their Connecticut Newborn Photographer for this memorable time in their lives.

Mom chose Light Colors.

Melissa Hartigan Photography has an extensive prop collection and a beautiful couture newborn wardrobe available for use during each session. Clients just need to tell me the colors they would like to see used as well as any visions or style preferences they have for the photos. I use these and custom style their newborn session to make it perfect for them.

Melissa wanted light colors, so I chose Pink, Beige, and Mint for Sloane’s Newborn Session.  I love her sleeping in the bucket wearing the mint, floral headband. She also looks beautiful wrapped in pink while in her parents’s arms. In addition, the props I hand selected worked perfectly for her. He looks precious sleeping in the white, antique bed with her little leg posed out. She made the greatest expressions while being poses, and I get a smile on my face every time I look back at her adorable photos.
