2024 Sitter Session Pricing Guide

Thank you for your interest in a sitter session. I would be happy to be apart of capturing this very special milestone.
Below are my session offerings for sitter sessions, typically scheduled around 6-7 months old. What we do is schedule a tentative date and time and plan to touch base a few weeks prior to see how baby is doing sitting independently. This time is so fleeting, my goal with every session is to create timeless images to cherish for years to come.
My calendar tends to fill quickly, so if you are considering a session please let me know once you read through everything so we can secure a day and time that works well for you. Last minute bookings are never a guarantee and usually only occur if a scheduled session has been postponed or rescheduled.
All Sitter sessions are customized to meet my clients needs. MHP has an exceptional collection of the most beautiful couture sitter outfits. All of which are available for client use during their sessions. All outfits shown on my website, my instagram and facebook business page are from my sitter wardrobe, you can view examples here .
I always suggest to all who inquire to be sure they look at all of the photographers websites and facebook pages being considered. Ask questions, are they insured? What safety and policy procedures do they have? Have they been trained in art of lighting techniques? Please do not choose a photographer on price alone, you really want to be sure that you love their style. This time is so fleeting, you want to ensure that the photographer you choose will capture everything you hope they will. I always say quality over quantity.

Melissa was wonderful and extremely professional. My wife and I cant speak highly enough of her. We made the hour and 1/2 drive to her studio for a newborn shoot, and it was totally worth the drive! She went the extra mile that her studio was safe and sanitized which made us comfortable especially with a newborn. Her space was professional and comfortable for my wife and I as well as our baby. Melissa handled our son with great care and just told us to enjoy ourselves and relax which we did. She took care of everything for the photos. She offered us coffee and snacks and let my wife and I relax. Our photo proofs were returned to us the next day! They were done so well! I am still in shock as to how she was able to pose our newborn so well! We would recommend Melissa to anyone who is looking for a newborn shoot."
All sessions include the Photographers time, talent and use of the MHP Sitter wardrobe, a pre-session consultation either on the phone or through email to learn more about your style preferences and vision for your photos. Following your consultation, I will begin planning your session to bring this vision to life.
scheduling
Sitter sessions are scheduled in studio Monday - Thursday. Weekend sessions are available upon request and carry an additional $100 weekend premium.
A $200 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date on my calendar, your retainer is then deducted from your session total. Do you need a smaller retainer to book? No worries, just let me know and we can arrange for that. The remaining session balance is due seven (7) days prior to your scheduled session date or due date (convenient payment plans are available upon request and so many clients take advantage of this interest free option).
*Pursuant to CT State Law a 6.35% sales tax will be added to all session fees, prints and products, prices are subject to change without notice until receipt of non-refundable retainer is received*
after your session
Within 3-5 business days following your session you will receive an online proofing gallery so that you may choose your final gallery images to be edited. At this time, additional images are also available for purchase. You will have one week to make your final selections.
Once your selections are submitted I will begin working on your gallery. The finished gallery will be returned within 10-15 business days. Upon completion you will receive an email notification containing instructions on how to access and download your final images. The gallery is available for downloading & viewing for seven (7) days.
All inclusive milestone session - $599
$499 for prior newborn clients
The All-Inclusive Milestone Session is a studio session lasting up to 45 minutes.
Session Includes:
• 20 professionally edited full resolution digital images, with print release
• 2-3 outfit changes (client provided or use of MHP sitter wardrobe)
• Up to three setups
**One child - no family, sibling or parent pictures will be taken during the All Inclusive Milestone Session**
ALL INCLUSIVE MILESTONE SESSION ADD ON OPTIONS:
Add on options:
$100 - Immediate Family/parent shots are offered as an add on with additional time added to your session. The image number remains the same.
$150 add on - 5x7 gift print of each gallery image
ALL INCLUSIVE MILESTONE MINI SESSION - $399
$299 for prior newborn clients
The all-inclusive milestone mini session is a studio session lasting up to 20 minutes.
Session Includes:
• 6 professionally edited full resolution digital images, with print release
• 1 outfit (client provided or use of MHP wardrobe)
• One setup
**One child - no family, sibling or parent pictures will be taken at mini sessions as time does not allow. This is not a cake smash session.**

schedule your session once everything is received.
As of today I do have an opening for your sitter session on my calendar, however that is not guaranteed for delayed bookings and can change as other inquires come in.
