Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy is a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world while waiting for your baby to arrive. Maternity photography is among my favorite sessions to photograph for the beautifulness of a blooming pregnancy. When a client schedules a maternity and newborn session with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents-to-be. For this sweet family from Hartford County, this is a little glimpse into their beautiful journey into parenthood with their baby.

Nicole & Kevin Heirloom Maternity – Maternity Photography Plainville CT

Expecting their third baby together, Nicole and Kevin booked the Heirloom Maternity Session to capture these fleeting moments before they welcomed their baby earth side. Having capture their maternity session before, they got back in front of the camera for more memories. At the end of October we set the date and time of their maternity session, met at the location and captured this very beautiful time for them as a family about to embark on becoming a family of six. Big sister Kiara and big brother Kaleb were very excited to pose but even more excited to welcome their new baby sibling into their family.

Very family oriented, they spend their time together doing family movie nights, game nights, enjoying time outdoors, going to grandmas and grandpas house for sleepovers, having BBQ’s. They enjoy all things water, swimming in pools, playing at the splash parks, spending a day at the water slides and lounging at the beach. The pet store is a favorite place to stop and seeing all the new puppies and having friends over for playdates. They are a fun, friendly and busy family full of love and making memories. Soon their newfound love will be snuggling and loving up their baby.

Connecticut Maternity Photography

Nicole is a gorgeous mama-to-be who looked absolutely stunning in all the gowns she wore for their maternity photoshoot. Capturing several different looks, mama wore gowns that were borrowed from my extensive maternity client wardrobe that is available to all maternity clients to use for their sessions. The maternity client wardrobe is carefully curated with beautiful gowns from Pink Blush Maternity, Nordstrom, KH Fashion Maternity and many other maternity gown vendors, including some pretty selections from Amazon, that have been carefully selected to fit the couture and boutique style of maternity photography. Mamas love having a selection of dresses and gowns to choose from to use for their pregnancy photos, and I am always happy to include these as part of scheduling your maternity session with Melissa Hartigan Photography. The MHP Closet is offered to all clients who book with us, saving the expense of having to buy a gown that is hundreds of dollars that you may never wear again.

As a Maternity and Newborn Photographer, every day I get the pleasure of meeting expectant couples and families that will soon will be welcoming their new baby. Not only do I love being a maternity and newborn photographer, but I also love photographing babies of all ages and capturing all the baby milestones.  As quick as the pregnancy and newborn stages pass, so does a baby’s first year and all the different stages.
