Not only do I love being a newborn photographer, but I also love photographing babies of all ages and capturing all the baby milestones from pushing up, sitting up, standing up through to their first birthday. As quick as the newborn stage passes so do all the different stages of the baby milestones, and it’s so important not to miss capturing those major milestones and details either. Here is a peek into Miller’s sitting up baby milestone session in the studio.
Miller Sitting Up Milestone – Hartford County Baby Photography
Caitlin and Chris wanted to capture baby Miller’s Sitting Up Milestone Session just as they had with their first baby boy, Griffin, when he was six months old. Capturing both brothers during this milestone stage and age of six months is something to treasure. I adore capturing fresh newborn babies, but do I ever love capturing babies at these ages too. In keeping with a special heirloom item that Griffin wore for his sitting up milestone session, mom brought the same light blue baby outfit for Miller to wear for his sitting up moments captured – so sweet!
Miller is a very smiley baby boy, he has so many expressions and curiosity that comes out everywhere he looks and with everyone he interacts with. He sure does love his big brother Griffin and enjoys all the sibling moments they share together. They love to go hiking together as a family and out for neighborhood walks. Miller is just the sweetest, just like his big brother!

When it comes to studio outfits and setups, I am always adding beautiful new knitted and handmade props to my studio baby and child prop collection. Melissa Hartigan Photography clients always have access to these props for their newborn sessions as well as baby milestone sessions. You don’t need to worry about bringing anything for your session except yourselves and your happy baby ready to have their picture taken. Props are always pre-selected based off the color choices that you choose prior to your session. Custom set-ups are then designed around your color choices. Everything is always prepared and ready to begin once you arrive for your baby milestone session. The MHP tiny client closet is available to all clients to select a wardrobe from, and it is my absolute pleasure to provide this for my beloved clients.
