Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy is a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world while waiting to welcome your baby. Maternity photography is among my favorite sessions to photograph. When a client schedules a maternity and newborn session with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents-to-be. For Sara and John, this is a little glimpse into their beautiful journey into parenthood with their first baby.

Sara and John contacted me to schedule a maternity session and capture their pregnancy moments while they awaited the arrival of their first baby. They booked the Timeless Maternity Session and as well as the Treasured Newborn Session to capture their newborn baby when he or she arrives. The Timeless Maternity Session is a wonderful session choice for new parents-to-be looking to capture this special time in their life before they welcome their new baby.
Together as a couple, they love traveling and have a special place in their heart for Italy. They are very into health and wellness and both run triathlons together. They have two dogs and love to spend time outdoors with them enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery. On their days spent relaxing they binge watch the Bachelorette. They are such an adorable couple together.
Sara was so sweet during her session and you could tell she was glowing with happiness. She was absolutely stunning in the two maternity gowns that she selected to wear for her maternity photos captured outdoors. The bright turquoise blue dress was so very pretty on her, but my favorite was the floral dress. So pretty for a mama-to-be!
The maternity dresses Sara wore during her session were borrowed from my studio client wardrobe closet that is available to all maternity clients to use for their sessions. The maternity client wardrobe is carefully curated with beautiful gowns brought in from Sew Trendy Accessories to fit the couture and boutique style of maternity photography. Mamas love having a selection of dresses and gowns to choose from to use for their pregnancy photos, and I am always happy to include these as part of scheduling your maternity session with Melissa Hartigan Photography.

As a Maternity and Newborn Photographer, every day I get the pleasure of meeting expectant couples and families that will soon will be welcoming their new baby. Not only do I love being a maternity and newborn photographer, but I also love photographing babies of all ages and capturing all the baby milestones. As quick as the pregnancy and newborn stages pass, so does a baby’s first year and all the different stages. It is so important to document these memories with professional pictures before these moments are over and gone forever.
