Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy is a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world while waiting for your baby to arrive. Maternity photography is among my favorite sessions to photograph for the beautifulness of a blooming pregnancy. When a client schedules a maternity and newborn session with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents-to-be. For this sweet couple from Windam County, this is a little glimpse into their beautiful journey into parenthood with their baby.
Kate & Nick Timeless Maternity – Maternity Photography Coventry CT
Expecting their first baby Kate and Nick decided to capture these special moments last minute and mom-to-be reached out to me for their Timeless Maternity Session. They were referred to Melissa Hartigan Photography by another client of mine, and I’m so touched to have been referred. Word of mouth referrals from past clients, up and coming clients, and those who overall love and enjoy my photography is the best advertising I could ever ask for and it’s so special to be thought of that way. Normally, I book up several months in advance and Thankfully I had a small gap in my schedule and was able to fit them in and capture these moments for them in studio.
Capturing their maternity session in studio was so sweet and yet so fun. I learned that Nick is a go getter kind of guy who can’t sit still, always keeping busy and always has projects on the go. Dad is a new Britain fire fighter and Mama is a pharmacy technician on paper but is grandfathered into working at a Yale Pulmonary Cinic, working from home. They have 3 dogs and 2 cats who they love a ton. They love going to Yardgoats games and the Coventry farmers market every Sunday in the summer, various college hockey games in the winter and they both love football. Soon they’ll be loving on their new baby.
Connecticut Maternity Photography
Kate is a gorgeous mama-to-be who looked absolutely stunning in the long purple form fitting maternity gown she selected and wore from the client maternity closet, and Nick looked so dapper perfectly complimenting mama. The maternity dress mama wore is a gown that was borrowed from my extensive maternity client wardrobe that is available to all maternity clients to use for their sessions. The maternity client wardrobe is carefully curated with beautiful gowns from HK Fashion and other maternity gown vendors that have been carefully selected to fit the couture and boutique style of maternity photography. Mamas love having a selection of dresses and gowns to choose from to use for their pregnancy photos, and I am always happy to include these as part of scheduling your maternity session with Melissa Hartigan Photography.
As a Maternity and Newborn Photographer, every day I get the pleasure of meeting expectant couples and families that will soon will be welcoming their new baby. Not only do I love being a maternity and newborn photographer, but I also love photographing babies of all ages and capturing all the baby milestones. As quick as the pregnancy and newborn stages pass, so does a baby’s first year and all the different stages.
