For those visiting for the first time, welcome. I’m a CT Maternity Newborn Photographer with a professional photography studio located in Coventry, CT. I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby milestone, children and family photography. Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy and newborn moments is such a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world. Maternity and Newborn photography is among my favorite of sessions to photograph. I love to capture special events in people’s lives and give them heirloom quality images they can cherish forever of their pregnancy, new baby and as a family. When a client schedules their maternity and newborn sessions with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents and I am so happy to be a part of these memorable maternity and newborn moments for this darling family from Rocky Hill, CT located in Hartford County. Maternity & Newborn Photos – Maternity Newborn Photography CT
Jonnathan and Danielle were expecting their first bundle of joy and wanted to capture these special moments together. These maternity and newborn sessions hold a special place in my heart because Jonnathan is my nephew and godson, and I am so excited to welcome a new member among the family. Danielle and Jonnathan are the sweetest couple with a wonderful love story and its very exciting with the new chapter in their lives together as a new family of three. I am so touched and honored to have captured these very special and tender moments for them.
Connecticut Maternity Photography
As a Maternity Photographer in CT, I get the pleasure everyday of meeting expectant mamas, couples and families that will soon will be welcoming their new baby into their family. During their sessions, Maternity clients are always welcome to browse the studio wardrobe closet and borrow anything during their maternity sessions. The studio closet is carefully curated with beautiful maternity gowns from Sew Trendy Accessories to fit the couture and boutique style of maternity photography. Mamas have always appreciated having a selection of dresses and gowns to choose from for use during their sessions, and I am always happy to include these as part of scheduling your maternity session with Melissa Hartigan Photography.
For Jonnathan and Danielle’s maternity session, mama selected several long form-fitted maternity gowns to wear and accentuate her beautiful baby bump. Not only was the weather absolutely perfect during our session, but the lushness of spring provided beautiful backdrops as well. Danielle couldn’t have looked more stunning in the gowns she wore – stunning is an understatement. Jonnathan and Danielle are the perfect couple and they were naturals in front of my camera.
Connecticut Newborn Photography
Danielle asked for soft blues, whites and cream colors for baby Joey’s newborn session designs and setups. Being a huge fan of baseball, and with Dad loving the Yankee’s, we incorporated a themed setup. I also had a special baseball outfit made specifically for baby Joey’s baseball newborn picture setup and I think he wore it best. He was absolutely perfect for his newborn session, and I may or may not, have snuck in extra baby snuggles while I was posing and photographing him. I’m pretty sure mama and dad didn’t mind either.

I am NOT the photographer that starts a stop watch at the beginning of your session, I am NOT the photographer that will ever rush, I am NOT the photographer that will give up when I know how important a certain capture is to a client.
I AM the photographer that wants to capture your newborn, child, senior teenager or family as they are the day of your session. I love my job. Capturing moments and freezing memories in time to cherish always. It truly makes my heart full and so happy. I hope when anyone looks at a picture I have taken they see and know this.
When you are looking to book your newborn session, it is recommended to secure your newborn session preferably before baby arrives to ensure an opening for when your little one does make their appearance. Ideally, it is best to book when you are in your second trimester. When you book your newborn session, you may also consider adding on a maternity session to your newborn booking and we can capture beautiful serene maternity pictures to remember your pregnancy by.
