I am a professional portrait photographer with a beautiful studio in Coventry, CT dedicated to newborn photography, maternity photography and baby milestone photography. Not only do I absolutely love taking photos but I also adore being a part of these special moments in my client’s lives. Here is a little peek into Ellie Claire’s newborn photography session in my studio.

Ellie Classic Newborn Photos – Tolland CT Baby Photography

Introducing beautiful Ellie Claire. When new parents Casey and Ryan were expecting their baby, they wanted to capture their baby’s first days with a newborn session and they booked the Classic Newborn Session for Ellie’s newborn pictures. I love getting to know my clients before and during our session time together. Mom shared with me a little piece of their lives below.

“Ryan and I are high school sweethearts and in October of 2020, we got married on our 10-year anniversary right in our backyard. We are extremely sentimental people and family is our priority, they mean everything to us. We both love a good backyard picnic and BBQ. Some may say we have been transplanted from the south. We love having people over to play corn hole, smoke up some meats, and have a good time! There’s ALWAYS a reason for a social gathering with our beloved family and friends.

Ryan is a big outdoorsman, you could find him at Cabela’s on the weekend, fishing or golfing. He also has built some amazing wood pieces such as barn doors, the arch we were married under, and build-ins around our fireplace. Ryan is a software developer and in his spare time, he is building a video game just for fun.

I love to craft – I made all the signs for our wedding decor. I really love my Cricut cutter. I tag along with Ryan on his adventures sometimes, but also love to be a homebody. You can find me at home watching NCIS, Criminal Minds or show alike with a glass of wine or a sour beer in my hand (when not pregnant of course). I was a dancer from the age of 2 to 22. It was a huge part of my life and hope to get Zumba certified one day. One thing about me is I’m a huge planner – so while Ryan builds, I project manage everything else.

Being high school sweethearts, we have been through everything together and we are so excited to welcome our little girl!”

Baby Girl Newborn Photos Sage, Navy & Cream Colors – Tolland CT Baby Photographer

Mom had ideas for colors for Ellie Claire’s newborn photo session, she wanted sage green, navy and cream colors used. All the colors and tones were so inviting and pretty for a baby girl photography session. I adore sage green on Ellie, she looked especially pretty in all the bows and floral elements that were added giving way as the perfect touches for her newborn photos. She was so darling!

The Newborn Session Experience with Melissa Hartigan Photography

I am NOT the photographer that starts a stop watch at the beginning of your session. I am NOT the photographer that will ever rush. I am NOT the photographer that will give up when I know how important a certain capture is to a client.
