Hello! Thank-you for visiting Melissa Hartigan Photography. I specialize in CT Baby Photography and have a beautiful studio in Coventry, CT. Not only do I absolutely love taking photos but also being a part of these special moments in people’s lives. My goal is to give my clients beautiful photographs they can cherish forever. I hope you enjoy this recent post as here is a little peek into my Newborn Session with the handsome Jaxson.

Jaxson Newborn Session

I have known Mom Nicole for years, and was thrilled when she contacted me letting me know she was pregnant.  It’s always exciting to photograph someone that I personally know. We did her beautiful maternity session first, and then we scheduled her Newborn Session for after her due date.  I love doing CT Baby Photography and was honored she chose me photograph her new baby boy on the way.  I couldn’t wait to meet and photograph her little man.

He Could Melt Hearts

Jaxson was so cute and snuggly. He was amazing during his session as he slept almost the entire time. This gave me the opportunity to pose him in a lot of different set-ups.  For posing ideas, check out my Pinterest Page. Nicole wanted a rustic feel for her set-ups, and Melissa Hartigan Photography has an extensive prop collection available for use during each session.  He was adorable sleeping in my rustic bed while wearing the little plaid pants. Hanging the matching plaid hat on the post was the perfect touch as he dreamed away. I also loved posing him in my many wooden buckets. He looked especially cute sleeping in one with a blue blanket and his one arm hanging out.

Melissa Hartigan Photography also has a beautiful and diverse newborn wardrobe to style each baby. Jaxson’s Father Joe serves his community as a Fire Fighter. We thought is would be cute to dress Jaxson up in the little fire fighter outfit I had in my collection. He couldn’t be any cuter sleeping in the fire fighter pants. With that little pout on his face, he could melt some hearts…he did mine!

Mom chose Green and Blue.

When I talk with my clients prior to their session, I discuss my client’s style preferences and visions they have for their photos.  Clients also just need to tell me what colors they want to use for the theme and I will select the perfect clothes for their little one. Nicole wanted Greens and Blues for Jaxson’s Newborn Session.  I love him sleeping in the metal bucket with the blue plaid hat on. He was also perfection in the dark green outfit with matching hat. The finishing touch of Jaxson holding the little gray bear is priceless!  My clients were thrilled with all their photos of Jaxson. I loved doing CT Baby Photography coupled with bringing my clients memorable photos that they will cherish forever.
