Expecting a baby is such an exciting time in your life, and documenting your pregnancy is a wonderful way to celebrate bringing your baby into the world while waiting for your baby to arrive. Maternity photography is among my favorite sessions to photograph. When a client schedules a maternity and newborn session with MHP, I am documenting their beautiful moments as new parents-to-be. For mama-to-be Kate, this is a little glimpse into her beautiful journey into motherhood.

Kate is a stunning mama-to-be who contacted me to book her beautiful studio pregnancy photos and capture her pregnancy moments while awaiting to meet her baby earth side. Mama selected the Timeless Maternity Session to document this precious and fleeting moment in her life. A pregnancy portrait session is the perfect way to capture a beautiful collection of timeless and classic maternity images to remember this very special time.
Browsing the boutique collection of maternity dresses and gowns in the studio closet, Kate selected a long form fitted, couture style maternity gown with long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline, and she was absolutely stunning wearing it! Pre-Photo Session Pampering – CT Pregnancy Photography
The day of her maternity session, Kate decided to treat herself and had a little pre-session pampering done by getting her hair and makeup professionally done. As a professional portrait photographer that specializes in capturing the beautiful bloom of a pregnancy, I always suggest a day of pampering for my mom’s-to-be, either the day before their maternity session or the day of. From manicures and pedicures, to a day at the salon with a hair stylist and makeup artist, it can really bring out the very essence of how an expectant mama-to-be feels about herself. When a mama feels her absolute best, it shines through during the maternity session and into the finished maternity portrait. Kate is a beautiful mama and I loved capturing these special moments for her.
