For the newcomers to my blog, I would love to introduce myself to you. I am a wife and a mother to five children and I found my passion and niche with photography and working with newborns. I specialize in newborn photography throughout Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and I have a beautiful photography studio that is located in Coventry, CT. As a professional photographer, I love to capture special events in people’s lives and give them heirloom quality photographs they can cherish of their new baby and family forever. I am so happy to be a part of these memorable moments for this family from Wallingford, Connecticut. Here is a peek into Ari’s Newborn session in the Melissa Hartigan Photography Studio.
Ari Treasured Newborn Session – Wallingford CT Newborn Photography
Jeliz and Ananias were growing their family and welcomed with their first baby, a baby boy making them a new family of three. Not wanting to miss their first baby’s newborn moments after he would be born, they booked the Treasured Newborn Session to capture his fleeting baby moments with professional newborn photography.
As with each of my clients, I love connecting with and getting to know them and mom shared with me about each of them including the meaning of their Aurelius’ name.
“My husband is the more outgoing one between the two of us. He likes to organize activities and gatherings for our families and friends for socializing such as game/karaoke nights, chess sessions, basketball and ping-pong friendly competitions. He’s an RN and is very into fitness, well-being and health.
I treasure more of my personal quiet times and activities where I get to spend time with my husband or with a small group. I’m an interior designer and am more into arts, architecture and cultural details which usually fuel my desire and love for travel. I enjoy being a hostess and found my love in the the kitchen baking.
We have two female shih tzus who are our fur babies. We decided to base our family in Connecticut because we like the mountains and hiking trails more than the Jersey Shore. We’re adventurous eaters so we’ll try out new restaurants, dishes and cuisines whenever given the chance. My husband is a Marvel Cinematic Universe fanatic while I’m a Potterhead and we both followed Avatar the Last Airbender and Game of Thrones which we used as the theme of our baby shower.
My husband is born in the year of the dragon and currently in the process of completing a huge dragon tattoo as a symbol of him being the protector of our family. A fun fact about me is that I’m such a thrills and adrenaline junkie and I jumped off a 33ft. cliff dive without any life vests – twice.
Our son’s name Aurelius was inspired by Marcus Aurelius, the last good emperor of Rome and a stoic philosopher, and translates to “the golden one”. His nickname Ari is inspired by “Aryeh”, the Hebrew translation for lion.”
Baby Boy Black, Yellow & White Colors – Wallingford CT Newborn Photography
Welcoming their baby boy into their arms was the best gift they have ever received. When Aurelius was born mom knew she wanted to incorporate black, yellow or gold and white. Ari looked so handsome in all the colors and set ups for his newborn pictures. My favorite is him posed in the wooden heart bowl prop with the golden stars backdrop, and of course, of him posed with his lion stuffy.
As a newborn photographer in CT that is driven to provide a custom newborn portrait experience, I love offering clients a variety of color and prop choices for their newborn sessions at my studio. Having the option to choose the colors and tones that go best with baby’s nursery, the colors in your homes, and the colors and props that are your favorites is only one piece of the whole newborn photography experience with Melissa Hartigan Photography that new parents absolutely love being a part of; and I am happy to offer that to all of my clients.
